Pastor JIMMIE MAGGETTE , a native of Bellwood, Illinois, serves as Director of Player Management, tasked with scouting, recruiting and landing a number of marquee pros who compete on the floor and connect in the community with the Champions League. Rooted in deep faith and hard work, Pastor Maggette has utilized his abilities and extensive relationships as an entrepreneur over the past 25-years to grow into a true professional within the business of basketball, entertainment and most recently, Ministry. After attending Northern Illinois University, Pastor Maggette gained experience as the manager of his younger brother, 15-year Star NBA swingman, Corey Maggette’s basketball career. Pastor Maggette built The “ME” Group (formerly "ME" Entertainment), blending his love and expertise in entertainment marketing, talent management, talent recruiting, a newly formed clothing line and manager of Legends Barbershop. Pastor Maggette successfully completed Bible training to become a Nationally licensed ordained minister and Nationally certified motivational speaker. Pastor Maggette also was awarded a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity in 2022. In addition to serving as President of Corey Cares Foundation, Pastor Jimmie Maggette has assisted in building companies, brands, and providing an international A-List client base to achieve global success, foster youth programs and enrich every community he serves. In many other capacities, Pastor Maggette has traveled to minister and serve in his hometown Chicago, Dallas, and various cities in Los Angeles. Elder Maggette actively serves in his home church of City of Refuge Church where his mentor and Pastor is the honorable Bishop Noel Jones. Maggette serves on his Baptismal, Prayer room, recently joined the ministerial alliance, Altar Workers certification, and Pulpit ministries. Pastor Maggette was recently appointed, Director of Records and Registration for the Christian Education Dept of City of Refuge under the leadership of Pastor Griffin whom have also poured into the life of Pastor Maggette. Pastor Maggette is humbled by the mentorship, love and favor given to him by others and God. Pastor Maggette is a true testament of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you’ says the LORD”
